Tattoo Aftercare Guidelines
Day 1 -
After removing your bandage, wash your tattoo with lukewarm water and Dial unscented antibacterial soap. Make sure to rub gently with clean hands. Your first day is free.
Day 2 -
Start to wash your tattoo 2 to 3 times daily following above process. Your first wash should be done extremely well to remove any excess dried blood, etc!
Day 3 -
You now can start applying Ucerin or Lubriderm lotion in small amounts over your tattoo. Too much lotion will create a shine over your tattoo.
Aditional Care Information -
If your tattoo is in a place that is touched and rubbed frequently, keep it covered with a non-stick bandage for a maximum of 8 hours a day for the first initial 3 days. If you leave bandage on for too long, bacteria can start to grow and "believe me" you do not want that.
It is normal for your tattoo to ooz a little bit in the beginning stages, but if it's oozing a lot, then your probably putting to much lotion on it or simply not taking care of it properly. Only use in thin amounts each time and make sure to allow it to air dry for at least 60 seconds after wash before putting on.
